Minted Projects

Kaiju Kingz (79%) – PFP/Gaming

Genesis Kaiju Kingz is a collection of 3,333 pixelated cartoon dragons inspired by popular NFT project CyberKongz. The project’s goal is to expand the metaverse by supporting talented creatives and developers looking to break into NFTs. Each Genesis Kaiju passively earns 5 $RWASTE a day which allows for the naming of Kaijuz and fusing of the DNA of two Genesis Kaijuz to make a Baby Kaijuz NFT. There is a maximum of 6,666 Baby Kaijuz to be created and they do not inherit traits from their Genesis Kaijuz. Recently, the project announced new P2E mechanics which include a new token, $SCALES, Mutant Kaijuz, free minting of Scientist NFTs, staking, and alpha passes.

Team:

Kaiju Kingz was created by Web3 company Augminted Labs. Nathan

Flickinger is the CEO and Founder, Phillip Prescott is the Lead Artist & Co-Founder, and Robert Qui is the Developer and Co-Founder. Flickinger is the lead developer for Kaiju Kingz and besides Kaiju Kingz and Augminted, he built Play-to-Earn game N0xscape. Prescott is a Music Producer, Illustrator, and Multimedia Designer. He has over 10 years of professional illustration and design experience. Qiu has 5 years of experience developing and producing games that reached over 100K people. He used to work at Amazon as a Software Engineer. The three founders are joined by 8 other team members.

Utility:

Holders can stake their Genesis or Baby Kaijuz, to generate $SCALES. Mutant Kaijuz will also be able to generate $SCALES, but will not be required to be staked to do so. Each genesis will be able to produce 15 $SCALES per day, each baby 5 $SCALES per day, and each mutant 2 $SCALES per day. Just like

$RWASTE, $SCALES are claimable at any time. Genesis Kaijuz, however, will have their $RWASTE production halted while staked for $SCALES.

Beyond their interactions with Mutants, 300 $SCALES can also be used to make an alpha pass. Alpha passes are tradable NFTs that give access to Kaiju Kingz alpha channels on Discord. These channels will be view-only, however, so holders of this token will be able to keep up with alpha channels but not take part in them. This developed P2E ecosystem is in efforts to create the new KaijuGame, Monster x Monster, which is currently under development. This game will feature Kaiju monsters battling each other in turn-based combat. You can read more about Kaiju Kingz utility here.

Murakami.Flowers (77%) – Art

This marks the third time we’ve mentioned Murakami.Flowers in our cheat sheet. Hype for the project was unheard of, over 4.9 million participants registered for the public sale lottery, beating the team’s expectations for the lottery by 4.9X. The Murakami Seeds finally sprouted on May 4, revealing to holders 7,641 unique flowers. Some seed holders have waited to reveal, speculating that a seed could contain a rare flower and be quite valuable.

Murakami is currently hosting an in-person gallery at Gagosian on Madison Avenue in New York City, and in the metaverse via an Oncyber gallery. Gagosian is one of the premier art galleries in the world, proof that Murakami is one of the most sought-after contemporary artists today. The artist views this project as a new starting line in his art career, in which the stated goal for his art is to maintain or increase in value long after his death.

Team:

Released and developed by Murakami’s art studio, KaiKai Kiki. After the

release, the team admitted that an NFT was a “new endeavor” and they were relieved to see the mint and reveal go smoothly.

Utility:

M.F holders still are not entirely sure of the breadth of the utility they will receive. Murakami hinted on Instagram recently that a new piggy bank-inspired collection he coined “108 bonnō.” Many holders expect a DAO and in-person events to be announced in the future.

Social Media Metrics:

Murakami prefers to use Instagram to promote M.F. The project’s Instagram has 147,000 followers at the moment.

Pre-Mint Projects

YAKDAO NFTs – Membership

YAKDAO is an NFT-gated DAO focused on purchasing and managing outdoor recreational property. Borrowing the idea of governing real land through a DAO from LinksDAO and CityDAO, projects that raised $10.5M and $7M, respectively. YAKDAO is selling three levels of membership through NFTs, the K2 Yak, Everest Yak, and Mauna Kea Yak (all named after mountain ranges).

Recreational activities like camping are a growing industry, and waves like glamping are making camping cozier for less outdoorsy types. The YAKDAO properties will mostly consist of these glamorous domes built through a partnership with Fdomes.com. Members of the DAO will have the first opportunities to purchase domes as investment vehicles and receive monthly dividends in USDC for renting out the dome. The project is currently doing an internal pre-sale and hopes to launch to the public 30 days after the pre-sale closes.

Team:

The team has a strong founder-market fit. The founder created Camp

Native, a campground booking management service, in 2015 and began trading crypto not long after. Brent Rangen, was employee number six at Chewy.com, building the marketing strategy for what led to be the largest e-commerce exit in history. Kingston Go, CFO, was the first controller at BlockFi, leading a team of 30 people. YAKDAO partnered with Fdomes.com to build the camping domes.

Utility:

The utility depends on the type of NFT the collector purchases:

K2 Yak: K2 receives free commission on Camp Native bookings, one vote in governance proposals, access to a members only Discord channel, and access to bid on fractional ownership NFTs.

Everest Yak: Everest Yaks receive all of the above in addition to two votes in governance, 10% of all YAKDAO property stays, one free night each year at any YAKDAO site, and priority access to bid on ownership NFTs.

Mauna Kea Yak: All of the above plus four governance votes and first rights to bid on ownership NFTs.

Social Media Metrics:

The DAO’s recently launched social media channels leave much to be desired. At the time of writing the Discord has 15 members and Twitter has 34 followers. The founders of YAK DAO promise that a principal use of funds from the pre-sale will be directed to project promotion and community building.

Sneaker Heads – PFP/Art

Sneaker Heads is a collection of 10,000 3D hand-drawn Sneaker Heads meticulously designed by our artist Ali Dawood. Ali has created over 40+ 3D hand-drawn base models that will act as the OG pieces in the project’s future.

Through the project’s art, it celebrates the popular street sneaker culture and aims to create the largest Web 3 sneakers community. Amongst base shoes in the collection, there are various futuristic combinations of famous artists’ faces fused with existing sneaker designs. For example, there is a 3D portrait of Travis Scott’s face fused with designs of Air Jordan 6 Cactus Jack sneakers. According to Ali, he and his team took more than 2 months to add immense detailing to each Sneaker Head’s fabric texture, so it replicates the shoe’s fabric texture as much as possible.

Sneaker Heads is created by California-based graphic and motion designer

Ali Dawood. Dawood is joined by Fares Benouhiba, founder and CEO of EMF Media. The team is currently hiring new members.

Utility:

No utility has been mentioned; however, the project said “We are not just an Avatar project. Have you ever bought a pair of shoes and wished they had utility?”
